Flora and Fauna of Nairobi National Park
The Park is predominantly open grass plain with randomly scattered Acacia bushes. The western uplands of the Park is mostly covered by highland dry forest with Olea africana, Croton dichogamus, Brachylaena hutchinsii, and Calodendrum. The lower slopes of the Park have a variety of Themeda, Cypress, Digitaria, and Cynodon. There are also a few scattered yellow-barked Acacia xanthophloea and a riverine forest along the river in the southern part of the Park.
Nairobi National Park is home to a diverse variety of animals and this is one of the best wildlife parks where you can get a good view of the famous African Predator species. You can enjoy a close encounter with predators like lions, leopards, Cheetah and hyenas.
