Lengwe National Park is a national park located in central Malawi, to the south of the Majete Wildlife Reserve. The park is known for its thick vegetation, woodlands as well as streams and rivulets. The dry season is in full swing in May, and it is also the peak tourist season in Malawi, with no rainfall, green landscapes and mist-laden highlands. With the onset of November, the hot summer rainfalls slowly begin to arrive in Malawi, thereby attracting hundreds of species of migratory birds to the game parks and reserves here. This month is great for indulging in birdwatching as well as going snorkelling in the waters of Lake Malawi. The weather remains extremely hot, humid and wet in December. It is also the hatching season for crocodiles and is a great time to visit if you wish to see baby crocodiles heading into the waters.
